Victoria Selective Entry High School offers excellent education for high-achieving students in Year 9 to Year 12. So, Year 8 students will be able to apply for the exam.

The competitive 5-part test decides if a student will get into one of the four prestigious public selective schools. These schools are-

  • MacRobertson Girls High School
  • Melbourne High School
  • Suzanne Cory High School
  • Nossal High School

However, there is a striking change this year. Previously, the test paper was customized by Edutest. But now, from 2023, the test will be written by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). They will centralize the selection process for the Department of Education.

ACER brings years of experience to the mix. It successfully delivers high-stake assessments to its bond with the Victorian Department of Education.

Impact of the Massive Change from Edutest to ACER

One of the most crucial changes mentioned on the website is that the knowledge test won’t exceed, which is found in the curriculum of Year 8. So, students should be able to use their existing knowledge in the right way to solve problems and gain a better understanding.
