The four components of the test is as follows:
- Reading : 40 minutes, 30 multiple choice questions
This section is based on different genres like fiction, non-fiction, poetry, magazine articles and reports.
- Mathematical Reasoning : 40 minutes, 35 multiple choice questions
This section is based on questions from a range of mathematical applications where students are expected to apply their mathematical knowledge and understanding to solve.
- Thinking Skills : 40 minutes, 40 multiple choice questions
This section assesses a candidate’s critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Writing : 30 minutes, 1 open response question
This section tests a candidate’s creativity of ideas, effective writing, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, spellings and language fluency.
