Most online platforms run student writing through an AI checker and call it feedback. We don't. At Selectivetrial, every single writing submission in the Power Pack is read, scored and annotated by an experienced Australian English tutor against ACER's official marking criteria.
Around 1,100 Year 9 places are offered each year across these four schools — and roughly 3,000 Year 8 students sit the ACER-written exam to fight for them. The Power Pack prepares your child for the test that decides which school they get.

Australia's leading online exam preparation platform for primary and secondary selective entry, scholarship and standardised testing - supporting students across Victoria, NSW, QLD, SA, WA and ACT.
Selectivetrial is one of Australia's leading online platforms for Victorian Selective Entry High School (SEHS) exam preparation. We are not a generic test-prep site — we are specialists in the ACER-format selective entry exams used by Melbourne High School, The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School, Nossal High School and Suzanne Cory High School. Every paper, every solution and every writing assessment is built specifically for the test your Year 8 child will sit in June 2027.
Our Victoria Selective Test Power Pack gives your child 365 days of access to 40 full ACER-style mock exams — 32 available immediately, 8 fresh papers released closer to the exam so the final weeks of practice feel like the real thing. Every test is time-scored, exactly mirroring the timing of the actual SEHS exam: 35 minutes for Reading, 30 minutes each for Mathematics, GA-Verbal and GA-Quantitative, and 40 minutes for Writing.
While other platforms have switched to AI writing checkers, Selectivetrial has not. Every writing task submitted through the Power Pack is read, scored and annotated by real Australian English tutors. Each marked writing is returned within 3–4 working days with a grade, detailed comments, and personalised improvement notes that lift the next attempt. This is the single biggest reason parents choose Selectivetrial — your child gets the kind of feedback a private tutor would give, at a fraction of the cost.
Our subject experts are High-ATAR scorers and selective-school graduates who know the SEHS exam from the inside. They build every question to match ACER's current style and format — not last year's version, not a generic test format. Detailed step-by-step solutions explain not only the right answer but the fastest reasoning to get there under exam pressure.
Beyond the Power Pack, Selectivetrial supports families across the full selective exam journey: NSW Selective and Opportunity Class (OC), NAPLAN, HAST, ACER Scholarship, EduTest, and WA ASET/GATE programs. Parents can track their child's performance per question type and per topic through our Learning Management Portal — and see how they're scoring relative to peers.
