Introduction

How Does Selectivetrial Help A Student Prepare For The Opportunity Class Test?

We have built a high-quality question bank for the Opportunity Class test with the help of previous test papers, curriculum and sample papers published by the government. Practising the OC sample test in our platform will give students confidence about the question pattern, what kind of questions can be asked, the hurdle standard of the questions, how much time it takes to complete the test and all of the essential points to score well.

They can easily understand the structure and pattern of the TEST while practising similar kinds of tests for unlimited time, such as reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, and thinking skills.

Our Subject Matter Experts and qualified teachers have done their thorough analysis and research on every question pattern and understand the difficulty levels, helping us create opportunity class test papers where students can explore their performances in the Trial Exam and make the needed variations to sidestep the same errors in the actual examination. Solving the Trial Exam will help students understand the real test, including interface, question method, difficulty level, and time management.

Without taking our OC sample test, students will not know how good or inadequate their preparation is. Once students take our trial test, they can make strategies and plan their studies accordingly.

Practice our trial test, which prepares students for competitive examinations and gives them a chance at a DREAM SCHOOL.

The NSW Opportunity Class test in 2025 is scheduled for Friday, 2 May to Sunday, 4 May 2025.

The OC Test for 2025 will be computer-based. Three tests, reading, mathematical reasoning, and thinking skills, will be conducted on the same day

  • Reading – 25 items – 30 minutes
  • Mathematical Reasoning – 35 items – 40 minutes
  • Thinking Skills – 30 items – 30 minutes

All questions will be multiple-choice.

Tips For OC Test 2025

Here are some tips for preparing for the OC test:

  • Take practice tests. These will help you familiarise yourself with the test format and the types of questions that are asked.
  • Study the content. The OC test covers various topics in mathematics, reading, and thinking. Make sure you are familiar with the content that will be covered on the test.
  • Get help from a tutor. If you are struggling to prepare for the OC test, you may want to consider getting help from a tutor. A tutor can help you identify your weaknesses and develop a study plan.

The OC test is challenging, but it is not impossible to succeed. By following these tips, students can increase their chances of doing well on the test and being placed in an opportunity class.

The opportunity class placement program is a two-year program for Year 5 and Year 6 that gives an opening to academically talented children to learn with other students.

The opportunity classes are held in about 76 government-aided primary schools across NSW (New South Wales). The OC test is organized by the Cambridge Assessment Test Authority and is held every year in the month of July, where Year 4 students appear to gain a place in the OC classes. The Opportunity Class (OC) Test is quite competitive; henceforth, parents should be careful about preparing their children accordingly.

Selectivetrial provides many similar Opportunity Class sample test model questions across multiple online tests. These new format tests are designed to prepare your child for reading, thinking, and mathematical reasoning skills and boost their confidence in attempting challenging questions. These exam-style questions build an in-depth knowledge of the 2021 Cambridge Assessment Admission Testing format and build the foundational skills of the future selective high school placement test.
