Year 4 or year 5 current students will take this course to appear for HAST-P Test for year 7 Entry
HAST-P is used for Upper Primary (grade 4 & 5):
Reading Comprehension – 30 Minutes
Mathematical Reasoning – 30 Minutes
Writing Test – 30 Minutes
Plus an optional test some schools may choose:
Abstract Reasoning – 30 Minutes
Seven full sets of Reading Comprehension Question Papers – Time Scored.
Seven full sets of Mathematical Reasoning Question Papers – Time Scored.
Seven full sets of Abstract Reasoning Question Papers – Time Scored.
Reading Comprehension each set has 25 questions, and the student needs to complete them within 30 minutes.
Mathematical Reasoning each set has 25 questions, and the student needs to complete them within 30 minutes.
Abstract Reasoning each set has 30 questions, and the student needs to complete them within 30 minutes.
Unlimited attempts of all questions.
Access to review all questions with solutions after each TEST.
2 different types of Writing Tests with brief Feedback from experienced Selective Passed Out Tutors.
Notes – Some schools in Australia use HAST for placement in the High Performing & Gifted Education Programs. Higher Ability Selection Test for Primary (HAST-P) is an ability test used by secondary schools that identifies the very brightest students for selective entry, accelerated learning and gifted and talented programs. HAST focuses on assessing higher-order, cross-curricular reasoning skills that are characteristic of gifted students.
